Mohamed Salah Issues Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the group of players following the fallout from his televised remarks.

What Happened

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his relationship with manager had broken down.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”

The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.

Moving Forward

He emphasized that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.

He also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I understand there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Team Form

The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the interview fallout. He feels the outburst were not designed to harm the team.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, playing well and on a positive run.”
