Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the international launch of Wicked: For Good

Loyal supporters of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile contains clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore attendees had waited to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
